Introduction

Subnautica 2 Buddy is an unofficial fan companion app for iOS developed by Christian Pedersen (GuildOS). It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the developers or publishers of the game it covers. This policy explains how your information is handled when you use the app.

Data the developer collects

Subnautica 2 Buddy works fully offline. Your favorites, checklist progress and settings are stored locally on your device. The developer does not collect, receive, or store your personal data on any server.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Subnautica 2 Buddy displays banner advertising provided by Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google and its partners may collect and process device identifiers (including, with your permission, the advertising identifier) and app-usage information. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown; on iOS you are additionally asked via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before the advertising identifier is used. If you decline, ads are limited to non-personalized. You can review or change your choices from the app's settings and in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. In-app purchases

Subnautica 2 Buddy offers an optional one-time "Remove Ads" purchase, processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. The developer never receives your payment details or Apple ID.

Analytics

We rely only on the aggregate, non-identifying metrics Apple and AdMob provide to developers. Subnautica 2 Buddy does not embed any third-party analytics SDK.

Content and attribution

Reference text in the app is adapted from the community wiki under the CC BY-SA 3.0 license, with full attribution available inside the app (Settings → About & Attribution). No personal data is involved in delivering this content; it ships bundled with the app.

Your choices

You can reset your device's advertising identifier in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking / Apple Advertising, and manage ad consent from within the app.

Children's privacy

Subnautica 2 Buddy is not directed to children under 13 and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time; changes are posted on this page with a new revision date.
